Bogus Technologies Expands Leadership Team
Bolsters Strategic Initiatives in Green Computing
Atlanta – February 23, 2010 — Bogus Technologies, Inc., an industry leader in chimeric sustainable technology for Enterprise data centers, today announced a major reorganization and promotion of three senior executives in its Green Computing Division. The organizational realignment follows a quantum increase in the Green Computing Division’s sales, and affirms BogusTech’s strategic plan to expand its opprobrious marketing of highly efficient and recyclable computers, storage systems and peripherals.

The new executive assignments are:
Dr. Yogesh S. Asgudasmayan is promoted to Senior Vice President of Financial Planning. Formerly VP of Sales Forecasting for the Celadon Enterprise Systems Division, he joined BogusTech in 2007 with the acquisition of Cumbrous Systems, Inc. where he was Vice President and Controller. Dr. Asgudasmayan received a Ph.D. in Industrial Economics from the Jaipur Institute of Recondite Technology.

Levon Holdenauer is elevated to Senior Vice President of Technical Support. Holdenauer was previously Director of Customer Care for Bogus Technologies in Germany, where he managed BogusTech European call center operations in Kunden Hass, and coordinated the development and operation of the Minderwertigkeit chip manufacturing facility. Mr. Holdenauer attended the Dumme Kinder Polytechnic Institute in East Berlin.

Hiram Tamara is promoted to Vice President of Human Resources. Mr. Tamara is a six-year BogusTech veteran, recently serving as Human Resources Director for the DAS-Ease Virtualization Software Group where he orchestrated an egregious de-hiring program in conjunction with the outsourcing of DAS-Ease development to Somalia. Tamara is a graduate of the Tenebrous Business School in Fukuoka, Japan.

“We are pleased to recognize these executives’ accomplishments and identify their new roles as the drivers of our Green Computing initiatives,” said Percy J. Whitebread III, President and CEO of Bogus Technologies. “Their leadership has put BogusTech on the Green Computing map, and we expect more of the same as we build on our gratuitous success in the U.S. and deliver even more antediluvian products and technology to expanding International markets going forward.”

In spite of the global economic downturn in 2009, Bogus Technologies successfully launched several strategic green computing products, including the Celadon™ Enterprise Servers, MoonShine™ Lunar Collectors and Peta-File™ Enterprise Storage Systems. The company also opened new green manufacturing facilities in Kowloon, China and Ateliers de Misere, Viet Nam. And in November, BogusTech received its second consecutive Gardner Group award for Best of Show in Green Storage Systems.

“The Green Computing Division generated record sales in 2009, and we’re looking forward to an even better 2010,” said Whitebread. “Our customers are taking advantage of the profligate Federal Stimulus Programs, absonant local government incentive projects and corporate stolidity about green technology to purchase BogusTech’s fustian Green Computing systems; and these solecisms go right to our bottom line.”

Bogus Technology Launches Celadon™ Enterprise Servers
Extends Lead in Enterprise IT and Green Computing
Atlanta – January 19, 2010 – Bogus Technologies, a pioneer in eco-friendly supercomputing systems for Enterprise data centers, today announced the shipment of its ultra high performance Celadon Enterprise Servers. With enough processing power and storage to run an entire Fortune 500 corporation, the Celadon systems will supplant outmoded mainframe computers, as well as the latest massively parallel network processing systems running Windows and UNIX-based operating systems.

“The performance and energy conservation of our new Celadon Enterprise Server is just incredible,” said Dotty Schlemiel, CIO at Mephitic Chemicals, Ltd. in Wilmington, Delaware. “We replaced three T-Series mainframes, two Xbox 360s and all of our mid-range UNIX systems — reducing CPU utilization to 82% and overall data center energy consumption by 34%.”

This latest advance in processing power and green computing is made possible by Bogus Technologies’ proprietary ARCANE(tm) chip technology which avoids the performance bottlenecks, scalability limitations and heat production of current ETL-based massively parallel clusters and eight-core vector processing systems. Utilizing a fictive 12-nanometer 7GHz uni-processor chip with on-board SRAM, embedded mouse controller and virtualized 3.2 terabyte I/O cache, prototype ARCANE CPUs have clocked an apocryphal 11,334 MIPS in controlled laboratory tests.

“Our engineers and materials scientists have truly advanced the state-of-the-art,” said Dr. Maladasa Dicra, Senior Vice President of Processor Technology at Bogus Technologies. “By relaxing wafer fabrication quality control standards, we have achieved significantly lower MTBF statistics, dramatically reducing both heat output and power consumption.”

BogusTech Celadon Enterprise Server systems are currently available in three configurations:
Celadon-SMB: Standalone tower with 2,550 MIPS CPU, 1.26 petabyte DAS Storage with 1.42 TFLOPS I/O capacity for networking or auxiliary storage.
Celadon-Enterprise: Three cabinet, rack-mounted system with dual 3440 MIPS CPUs, 5.1 TFLOPS I/O controller and 3.84 petabyte SAN storage array (NAS-T v12.1.3).
Celadon-Ubertrieben: Dodecahedral flexi-cabinet multiplex with shared backplane, quad 3,440 MIPS CPUs, redundant 5.1 TFLOPS I/O controllers, ASR33 Operators Console, and dual 5.41 petabyte Peta-File™ Hybrid SAN/NAS Storage Cluster. Green

Computing and Green Storage Systems
All Celadon systems are manufactured in accordance with BogusTech’s award-winning CHARTREUSE™ Green Computing standards. Celadon servers and storage subsystems are built in our carbon-neutral, Fair Trade Certified facility in Ateliers de Misere, Viet Nam. Celadon chassis, enclosures and peripherals are painted with low VOC compounds derived from locally sourced free-range marsupials. Bogus Technologies sustainable computing systems are built utilizing 94% recycled components and an eco-friendly fabrication process that employs no old growth rainforest products or endangered species. Celadon Enterprise- and Ubertrieben-series servers are powered by BogusTech’s energy-efficient MoonShine™ lunar collectors, and cooled with re-circulated septic effluent, gray water and rainwater collection overflow.

BogusTech Protects Customers From Y2.01K Outages
Widespread Computer Processing and Data Loss Averted
Atlanta – December 24, 2009 — Bogus Technologies, Inc. today announced that it has provided all Platinum Maintenance customers with hardware and software upgrades to avoid potential problems arising from the transition to calendar year 2010. Referred to in the Enterprise IT community and mass media as “The Y2.01K Problem”, this computer vulnerability has the potential to cripple all business computers, PCs, cell phones, medical devices, commercial and military aircraft, motor vehicles, household appliances and communications networks worldwide.

“We got through the Y2K crisis without too many problems,” said Ashok O’Malley, CIO of Astral Van Lines and Storage Systems in Columbus, OH. “But we were still concerned that the date rollover to 2010 would cause some issues with our legacy mainframe COBOL applications. Fortunately BogusTech’s professional services group was able to complete the six-month, $14 million update to our systems before Christmas.”

The potential cataclysm stems from the incompatibilities between the Gregorian and Julian calendars that are now utilized by more than 97% of all computers – and even mundane devices with embedded computers like watches, coffee makers and nuclear weapons. January 1, 2010 on the Gregorian calendar is December 19, 2009 on the Julian calendar; and this creates a hypothetical “Lost Two Weeks” phenomenon that could cost the world economy more than $6.7 trillion dollars.

“We are proud to have completed these major customer upgrades before the looming Y2.01K transition deadline,” said Ophelia Payne, Senior Vice President of Customer Care at Bogus Technologies, Inc. “This demonstrates the value of our Platinum Maintenance program and enables our customers’ IT staffs to spend the Holiday Season at home with their families, secure in the knowledge that their Enterprise systems, storage and networks will be unaffected by the Y2.01K pandemic.”

The BogusTech Y2.01K Upgrade package consists of perfunctory CPU replacements, extraneous board-level repairs, re-soldering of all I/O controller chip leads, prolix software patches and colorful promotional chachkis. All system upgrades will be performed by certified BogusTech Professional Services personnel, in accordance with the BogusTech CHARTREUSE™ Green Computing recycling and disposal standards. Bogus Technologies customers with Gold and Silver Maintenance agreements will have their systems upgraded during the second quarter of 2010. Customers with NAS-T™ storage arrays and DAS-Ease™ virtualization software are required to upgrade their Fibre Channel Controllers to Version 3.21.05 prior to installation of the Y2.01K upgrades. Customers in the Zinc Maintenance Program must ship their systems (in original packaging, with proof of purchase) to the BogusTech depot repair facility in Ordures Puantes, France.

Notes:
1) BogusTech customers with Version 2.05 or greater of the Peta-File™ Enterprise-class Storage Arrays (SAN, NAS and Hybrid) will not require the Y2.01K Upgrade.

2) Customers who have purchased the BogusTech Enterprise Y3K Protection Service will receive the Y2.01K Upgrade at no additional cost.

3) For a limited time, customers upgrading to Peta-File Enabler and Enterprise systems from IBM TotalStorage and EMC Celera configurations will receive an iPod Classic with 160 Gbyte multimedia storage.

Bogus Technologies Ships MoonShine™ Lunar Collectors
Large-scale energy arrays based on proprietary LUNA-C™ technology
Atlanta, GA — September 22, 2009 — Bogus Technologies, the leader in Applied Nonotechnology for Green Energy development, announced today it has commenced full-scale production of the MoonShine series of lunar collectors for commercial, residential and military applications. Initial production will take place in BogusTech’s Kalamazoo, MI plant, with expanded capacity coming online in 2010 from their new facility in Shanghai, China, currently under construction.

“MoonShine is the first lunar collector system available in the industry, and will give us a tremendous competitive advantage and head start in customer adoption and exasperation,“ said Percy Whitebread, III, President and CEO of Bogus Technologies, Inc. “The combination of egregious government funding and capricious demand for Green Energy branded offerings should make this a very profitable business for us.”

In contrast with solar collectors, lunar collectors require significantly more surface area for equivalent energy generation. The MoonShine-Lite™ system supporting the energy requirements of a single-family house entails two acres of lunar collection panels, and the mid-sized MoonShine-XXX™ facility designed to power a 100,000 sq. ft. office building is 3 kilometers square (some assembly required) and costs $4.3 Billion. However, lunar collector systems have several significant advantages over their solar energy counterparts:

  • The Moon reflects light from multiple celestial sources, so a transition to lunar collection systems would lessen our dependency on the Sun for energy.
  • Manufacture, installation and maintenance of lunar collectors to provide 10% of our energy needs would create new jobs for more than 2 million American workers. The equivalent capacity from solar collectors would only create a few thousand jobs.
  • The Moon is more accessible than the Sun, affording the possibility of resurfacing the Moon with a more reflective material or concentrators to increase energy levels. And we can reach the Moon in only a few days, while a trip to the Sun would take months and involve extreme radiation exposure (unless the mission were conducted at night).

“Initially we thought the minimal ambient nighttime light levels, high costs and inefficiencies of lunar collection would be prohibitive,” said General William E. Newcomb, head of the Department of Defense’s Profligate Energy Research & Development Institute and Vice Chairman of the Bogus Technologies Customer Advisory Group. “But Congressional pressure, dramatically increased funding and the lack of oversight and accountability have enabled us to make these expenditures. And the results are impressive – our MoonShine-ULTRA™ system (10 km x 5 km) produces enough electricity to run the first floor of our headquarters building during perigee, clear skies and full moon conditions.”

The LUNA-C technology is based on BogusTech’s recent advances in Nonotechnology – a 21st century fictive materials science whose name reflects the unanimous conclusions of peer-reviews published in recondite technical journals. While thought to be exorbitantly expensive and technically facetious, the Bogus Technologies Nonotechnology development program has been highly profitable as a result of well-placed political contributions, complimentary vacation junkets and resulting Federal Government contracts.

“Our third generation LUNA-C technology enables us to produce a high-cost low-efficiency collector system, while still meeting the technical and contractual requirements for government subsidies, tax abatements and loan guarantees,“ said Dr. Mal Entender, Chief Scientist with the BogusTech Energy Systems Division. “Building on the depredations of eight years experience in Government Ethanol R&D programs, we are pleased to take advantage of the taxpayers’ largess and the feckless mendacity of Congress to help boost our corporate revenues, the local economy and the Green Energy movement.”

Bogus Technology Wins Prestigious Gardener Group Award
Repeat winner in Direct Attached Storage category
Atlanta, GA — November 3, 2008 — The Fulton County Gardener Group has awarded Bogus Technologies their coveted Best of Show award for Green Computing. The award was one of several Green Computing awards announced in today’s news feeds, and formal presentation will be made at the Gardener Group’s Enterprise Storage Conference in February.

“We are pleased to recognize Bogus Technologies’ accomplishments in storage systems, SAN technology and low power consumption”, said Wilamina Frump, Director of Landscape Planning and Virtualization at the Fulton County Gardener Group. “Their imaginative use of woven sisal fibre channel enclosures and composted multimode archiving is unequaled in the storage equipment industry.”

This is the second consecutive Best of Show award for Bogus Technologies. Last year their BT5220 Storage Cluster won in the Direct Attached Storage (DAS) category, on the strength of their rack mounted enterprise tape library supporting 3M masking and pressure sensitive tape.

“This is a great honor for Bogus Technologies, and a tribute to our indolent employees and customers”, said Sandeep Netra, Vice President of Engineering at Bogus Technologies. “We were up against EMC, NetApp and HDS again; and it’s great to take home the gold. I guess that $20,000 contribution to the Gardener Group last year really helped.”

The Gardener Group Enterprise Storage Conference will be held at the Georgia International Convention Center offsite parking lot annex on February 12, 2009. About Bogus Technologies Bogus Technologies is the industry laggard in information technology and enterprise systems. The company’s lethargic server, data storage, networking and virtualization solutions are based on 64-bit quad-core processors, proprietary NAS-TTM storage architecture and patented Broadband Optical Gigabit Universal Switch (BOGUS) router technology.

Global Electric Selects Bogus Technology for $135 Million Enterprise IT Contract
Termination Bars vendor from future Information Technology sales and marketing programs

Pratts Bottom, U.K. — October 5, 2008 — Global Electric, LTD, the largest independent supplier of obsolescent UNIX computing systems in the European Community, announced that it is terminating its contract with Bogus Technologies of Atlanta, GA. The decision was reached following six months of profligate acceptance testing of the prototype BT-9020 WAN Acceleration Appliance.

“Global tested the Quad-Core BT-9020 extensively in our Mission Critical ERP Test Lab, and were amazed by the incredible performance”, said Rodney Sycamore, Managing Director of Network Infrastructure for Global Electric. “The BogusTech sales rep predicted a 30% increase in throughput for MPLS and secure encrypted SSL VPN traffic, and this prognosis turned out to be quite perfidious — it was just incredible!”

Bogus Technologies was pleased with Global’s decision, citing changing priorities and a strategic decision to leave the market for low margin computer hardware, blade servers and multiprocessor systems to better qualified competitors like IBM, HP and Sun Microsystems. The new BogusTech strategy was announced earlier this year during an impromptu meeting with three custodial workers at the LinuxWorld 2008 Conference.

“After conferring with investors and customers, we decided to exit the enterprise hardware market”, said Dr. VM Ware, Executive Vice President of Enterprise Server Marketing at Bogus Technologies. “We’re putting our inventory through a car shredder, and hope to salvage some residual value from the 64-bit Opteron, Xeon and Itanium processors that emerge. Curtailing development and marketing in our Insipid Business Systems unit will result in huge benefits for BogusTech and our customers; and will dramatically reduce our manufacturing and support costs.”

The Chicago Daily News — October 4, 2008
Chicago Police Department Inks Multi-Year Deal With Bogus Technology
Plea agreement culminates two year investigation and prosecution
The Cook County District Attorney’s office announced today that they have dropped most of the charges against Bogus Technologies and BogusTech Regional Sales VP Anita Deale, in exchange for her cooperation in the investigation, payment of a fine, and pleading to lesser charges. The investigation stemmed from alleged irregularities in the procurement and performance of Bogus Technologies’ $37.2 million, three year contract for upgrading the Chicago Police Department (CPD) computer and communications systems.

BogusTech has been in the process of replacing the aging HP 9000 Superdome servers and Cisco CRS-1 wireless routers in the CPD’s data center with new equipment from Apple Computer including a Mac Mini in the data center and an iPod shuffle in each squad car. Critics of the project have questioned the utility and security of iPods for police work, but CPD and Bogus Technology technical experts concluded that the cost savings in equipment, maintenance and training more than make up for any minor technical shortcomings. Notwithstanding the controversy, CPD IT Director and CIO Grant M. Root was supportive of the project.

“The patrol officers are much more relaxed listening to the iPods than the old dispatch radio,” said Root. “But we’ll miss all the blinking lights and racks of heat-generating servers and routers — especially at Christmas. And I don’t know what we’re going to do with an entire department of IT guys who only know HP-UX kernel programming and RIP, EIGRP, OSPF, and BGP router configs.”

The legal settlement significantly reduces the exposure for Bogus Technologies which was facing the possibility of contract cancellation and debarment, fines of more than $650,000, and up to 40 years in prison for Ms. Deale. Sources close to the investigation say the settlement may have been influenced by Deputy Commissioner Randy Graft (no relation to the Mayor) who recently received a sub-prime mortgage from Deal’s sister Yagatta, a loan officer at the Indigent National Bank of Chicago.

“We feel completely exonerated by the District Attorney’s decision to drop the bribery, grand larceny and fraud charges”, said Otto A. Peale, ESQ, Vice President and General Counsel for Bogus Technologies. “To put this matter behind us, we have agreed to plead guilty to the lesser included charge of filing a false report — a misdemeanor — and paying a $125 administrative fee.” The CPD IT project, now 6 months behind schedule and $7.5 million over budget, is expected to be completed sometime in 2012.
